Sanden Vikas, a JV with Sanden Corporation of Japan, apart from being one of the oldest Japanese JVC in the country, has been the first to start Automotive Air-conditioning in the country.

The company today is the largest manufacturer of Compressors in the country with the unique distinction of having manufacturing facilities to produce the Fixed displacement, Variable displacement and the scroll compressors under one roof. This together with the other manufacturing facilities of HVAC & Hose-pipes makes Sanden Vikas a prominent player in the Automotive Air-conditioning business in the country.

In order to maintain cost competitiveness and dominance in the compressor business, the company has set-up an Aluminum Die casting facility, thereby achieving a high level of localization in the compressor.

The company also holds pride of position in being among the very few in the country to have the Deming’s prize, apart from also being certified to TS 16049, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001

Aluminum Die-Casting

Vikas Group, in partnership with Sanden Corporation (Japan), has established a HPDC company viz. Sanden Vikas Precision Parts Private Limited at the Japanese Zone in Neemrana (Rajasthan). The company manufactures compressor parts and other high performance parts for use in automotive transmission and emission systems. The plant commenced production in July 2013.

The manufacturing unit has best-in-class infrastructure and facilities including HPDC Machines of 670-850 ton capacity from UBE. Each machine has an individual melting and holding furnace.

The plant has 3 m/c adding up to 9 machines by this year, with more land available for plant duplication. It has a robotic system set up for automatic take out and trimming. Aluminum Grades R14 and ADC12 are used as raw material.

Heat Exchangers

Started about 2 decades ago as a condenser manufacturing location for the Air-conditioning business, Pranav Vikas today is one of the largest Heat-exchanger manufacturers in the country, having successfully developed various Heat-exchangers like Condensers, Evaporators, Heater Cores, Radiators & Oil coolers for a wide range of applications both in the Automotive and non-automotive applications.

The company through internal capabilities and academic collaborations has developed a strong Design & Development capability and has been successfully designing various kinds of Heat exchangers through first principles. This is backed with very extensive testing & validation facilities and has eventually resulted in a wide product portfolio, together with a strong customer base across segments.

Pranav Vikas today operates out of 3 manufacturing locations, one each in Faridabad, Palwal & Pune and has an annual capacity of over 2 million heat exchangers.

Aluminum Extrusion

The plant set up for manufacturing Micro-tubes for various heat-exchanger applications is the first of its kind in India. This is not only a major step towards localization but would allow a greater level of design flexibility for the heat-exchanger business in the group. Vikas Altech would specialize in various sizes and alloys of tubes, in line with the stringent requirements of various customer applications.

The plant, which was commissioned in February 2014, has an annual capacity of 4500 MT, which would be broadly equivalent to over 4 million Heat-exchangers.

Emission System

Ecocat India, a joint venture with Ecocat of Finland, has a unique set of offerings delivering complete Emission After-treatment solutions to its customers. The company has set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit which can manufacturing capability, being able to manufacture Substrates, do precious metal coating and canning of substrates, together with offering partial and complete filters for Euro IV and beyond. Along with a strong R&D facility, the company today caters to a wide range of vehicles from a 2/3 wheeler to a Heavy commercial application, besides with providing solutions for all fuel types.

The company recently received the prestigious ACMA Award for excellence in quality. The Company is also certified to ISO / TS 16949 and has an annual capacity of over 1.8 million catalysts.


A strong focus on localization, coupled with the intent to develop areas of excellence, the machine shop, Sata Vikas today boasts of one of the best machine shops today in the country with over 200 CNC machines. The company is working towards achieving a World-class manufacturing status. The company carries out some of the most high-precision machining of both ferrous and non-ferrous castings & forgings in the industry today.
